Postdoctoral Research Fellow - Neurodegeneration Research

Responsibilities

• Contribute to internationally collaborative projects investigating the mechanisms of Parkinson’s disease and related neurodegenerative disorders
• Conduct laboratory-based investigations using human postmortem brain tissue and mouse models
• Perform advanced histopathology, including multiplex immunolabelling and fluorescence imaging
• Execute molecular pathology techniques such as proximity ligation assays
• Conduct quantitative image analysis and interpret complex experimental datasets
• Disseminate research findings through high-quality publications and presentations
• Participate in experimental design and collaborative discussions with internal and international partners

Requirements

• PhD in neuroscience, biomedical science, molecular biology, or a related discipline
• Demonstrated experience in laboratory-based biomedical or neuroscience research
• Proficiency in histology, immunohistochemistry, or fluorescence imaging
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and communicate experimental findings
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail regarding data management
• Ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team
• Compliance with laboratory safety and immunization requirements (e.g., Hepatitis B)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with human postmortem brain tissue
• Familiarity with Parkinson’s disease or related proteinopathies
• Experience with RNA biology, disease modelling, or transcriptomics
• Proficiency with digital pathology, multiplex imaging, or advanced microscopy
• Experience with bioinformatics tools or quantitative image analysis
