Postdoctoral Research Associate

Responsibilities

• Initiate, execute, and complete independent interdisciplinary research involving immunology, molecular biology, and neuroscience
• Prepare and write research papers, presentations, and grant proposals
• Assist with laboratory management and the training of graduate students
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary research team and external collaborators on ongoing and new projects

Requirements

• PhD in Neuroscience, Immunology, Cell and Molecular Biology, Biology, or a related field
• Proven track record in rodent behavioral testing and CNS analysis (including histology of brain sections)
• Demonstrated skill in stereotaxic injections
• Experience with human cerebral organoid models and iPSCs
• Proficiency in immunology techniques such as flow cytometry
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with demonstrated research productivity (first-author publications)
• Experience with rodent CNS surgery, such as vagus nerve stimulation, is considered an asset
