Postdoctoral Research Associate

Responsibilities

• Conduct research in functional genomics and gene editing, potentially involving Cas13-based profiling, in vivo CRISPR screens, or protein design of new gene editors.
• Plan and execute research tasks independently within a highly creative and dynamic team environment.
• Develop new research projects and contribute to the scientific mission of the Sanjana Lab.
• Write up and present research findings on a regular basis to the scientific community.
• Investigate the impact of human genetic variation on gene expression and phenotypes at cellular, tissue, and physiological levels.

Requirements

• PhD or MD-PhD in a relevant scientific field.
• Proven research experience in molecular biology, biochemistry, computational biology, or functional genomics.
• A track record of first-author publications.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team science environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with CRISPR screens and noncoding RNA profiling.
• Strong computational genetics or genomics skills.
• Expertise in cutting-edge experimental methods or stem cell differentiation.
