About the role
Responsibilities
- Conduct original research in AI safety and autonomous robotics, including algorithm design, system development, and experimental validation
- Author and contribute to research proposals, technical reports, and peer-reviewed publications
- Present research progress to sponsors and stakeholders on a regular cadence
- Develop project concepts and write proposals for research projects and independent grant applications
- Mentor graduate and undergraduate students on research methods, code development, and scientific communication
Requirements
- Doctorate degree
- 3-5 years of relevant research experience
- Experience with robot systems, algorithm design, and development
- Experience with experimental validation processes
