About the role
Responsibilities
- Conduct independent, subject-specific research at the intersection of law, technology, governance, and society
- Establish and further a productive scholarly agenda through publications and research activities
- Engage with the academic community at the Peter A. Allard School of Law
- Potentially teach a course or seminar during the fellowship term
Requirements
- JD, LLB, or equivalent law degree
- Doctoral degree in law or a related discipline (or substantially completed)
- Within five years of completing your doctoral degree
- Demonstrated research interest in law and technology (e.g., AI, privacy, cybersecurity, platform regulation, or digital rights)
- Not have previously held more than one postdoctoral fellowship appointment
- Not currently hold, or be on leave from, a faculty position
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using innovative methodologies or interdisciplinary approaches to legal research
- A strong record of scholarly publications and a clear research plan
Benefits
