Postdoctoral Fellow

Responsibilities

• Advance capabilities in optimization-based conceptual design for new process development and improved process understanding
• Develop open-source tools for the training and optimization of machine learning surrogates
• Support data analysis, application development, and research objectives within the Laird research group
• Interact with multiple faculty members, industrial partners, and federal project sponsors
• Work collaboratively in a research environment to support departmental goals

Requirements

• Doctorate degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field
• 1-3 years of experience in process systems engineering and/or bioprocess modeling
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated creativity and ability to work in a collaborative research setting
