About the role
Responsibilities
- Conduct cutting-edge research to interrogate cellular pathways underlying cardiovascular disease
- Investigate the function of proteins encoded by recently discovered genetic risk factors
- Collaborate with cross-functional scientists to gain exposure to the drug discovery process
- Disseminate scientific findings through impactful publications and conference presentations
Requirements
- PhD in biochemistry, molecular biology, cell biology, chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, or related life sciences
- Expertise in molecular and cellular biology
Preferred Qualifications
- Track record of independent research demonstrated through first-author publications
- Expertise in mechanistic biochemistry and/or cell biology in mammalian systems
- Experience studying vesicular trafficking and/or the endolysosomal system
- Hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture, transfection, SDS-PAGE, and immunoblotting
- Proficiency in immunofluorescence and live cell imaging
- Strong critical thinking, organizational, and communication skills
