About the role

Responsibilities

  • Design and perform experiments focused on gene and protein expression in vitro and in vivo
  • Develop and maintain advanced cell culture systems, including macrophage models and multicellular 2D/3D culture platforms
  • Perform co-culture experiments involving immune and stromal cell populations
  • Conduct immunostaining on paraffin and frozen tissue sections
  • Analyze high-throughput datasets, including RNA-seq and proteomics data
  • Assist in the preparation of grant proposals, manuscripts, and presentations
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure optimal research conditions
  • Collaborate with internal and external research teams

Requirements

  • PhD in molecular biology, immunology, biomedical engineering, or a related field
  • Strong expertise in cell culture, specifically with macrophages and immune cell systems
  • Proven problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with multicellular 2D and 3D culture models (e.g., co-culture systems, organoid/spheroid models)
  • Experience with RNA-seq and/or proteomics data analysis
  • Experience with murine models and basic surgical techniques
