About the role

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research experiments to investigate oncogenic and tumor suppressor enhancer regions
  • Study the interplay between metabolism and epigenetics in T-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (T-ALL)
  • Utilize mouse models in vivo to unveil new therapeutic strategies
  • Perform FACS analyses and other specialized laboratory techniques
  • Prepare written reports, manuscripts, and grant proposals based on research findings
  • Deliver oral presentations of research results
  • Assist in instructing and training students, fellows, and technicians in laboratory techniques and instrumentation

Requirements

  • Ph.D. or M.D. in a relevant science (completed or in the final stages of training)
  • Experience with FACS analyses or the ability to learn the technique effectively
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work in a laboratory environment with potential exposure to hazardous chemicals and biological materials

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in cancer biology research
  • Experience with mouse colony management and in vivo mouse experiments
