About the role
Responsibilities
- Design, execute, and analyze in vitro and in vivo studies of cardiovascular disease using animal models
- Maintain detailed records of all procedures and experiments in laboratory notebooks
- Compile data, perform necessary calculations, and present findings at national conferences
- Publish research results in high-impact scientific journals
- Develop independent research projects under the guidance of the Principal Investigator
- Perform genetic matings to generate specific animal models of heart disease
- Instruct and train students, technicians, and laboratory assistants
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Cellular & Molecular Physiology, Pharmacology, or an equivalent field
- Ability to work in a laboratory environment involving prolonged standing, walking, and manual dexterity
- Availability to work flexible hours, including occasional overtime, weekends, or holidays to meet research deadlines
