Postdoctoral Associate

Responsibilities

• Conduct genomic analytical research on cell-type specific human brain development and neurological diseases
• Perform bioinformatic analyses of large datasets using Python and R
• Interpret and present research results in publishable formats
• Prepare manuscripts, fellowship applications, and contribute to grant applications
• Supervise and guide the research projects of undergraduate and graduate researchers
• Participate in collaborative work with other laboratories and maintain active communication with the Principal Investigator

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Neuroscience, Genetics, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, or a related science (ABD candidates will be considered)
• Proficiency in Python and R programming languages
• Demonstrated research productivity and experience
• Fluency in spoken and written English

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic understanding of biology and neuroscience
• Previous experience in mentoring researchers
