PostDoc MR Physicist

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical validation and evaluation of new MR methods in areas such as breast, liver, prostate, heart, and musculoskeletal diagnostics
• Focus on developing faster and higher-quality protocols, including motion-compensated and accelerated image acquisition, scanner automation, and workflow optimization
• Plan, implement, and execute radiological MR applications, research projects, and clinical studies
• Collaborate on the definition and development of new clinical MR applications and methods
• Design and conduct training sessions for staff at Uniklinik RWTH Aachen
• Write scientific publications and present research results at national and international congresses
• Coordinate and act as a liaison between the MRI Business Unit in the Netherlands, Clinical Science teams in Germany, and various research laboratories

Requirements

• Completed degree in technical or natural sciences, or equivalent clinical/medical technology experience
• High level of competence in clinical MRI application and technology
• Fundamental understanding of physiological and biochemical processes
• Fluent proficiency in both German and English
• Strong scientific enthusiasm, creativity in technical problem-solving, and a desire to work at the intersection of industry and research
• Ability to work independently, flexibly, and with a high degree of quality consciousness
