About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead independent and collaborative research projects focused on systems immunology and multi-omics
- Analyze and integrate complex multi-omics datasets, including single-cell and bulk transcriptomics
- Develop and implement computational pipelines using R and Python
- Collaborate with clinical teams to identify immune mechanisms and biomarkers for sepsis and MODS
- Prepare manuscripts for publication and contribute to grant applications
- Mentor students and research staff within the laboratory
Requirements
- M.D. or PhD degree
- Degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Immunology, or a related field
- Strong programming skills in R and/or Python
- Experience with Next Generation Sequencing (NGS)
- Proven record of peer-reviewed publications
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with single-cell and multi-omics integration
- Familiarity with tools such as RNA-seq, EdgeR, Seurat, Harmony, Monocle3, or scVelo
- Experience working with clinical datasets and High-Performance Computing (HPC)
- Experience with laboratory bench work
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
