About the role

Responsibilities

  • Conduct original research in solar flare physics using radio observations and multi-wavelength data
  • Utilize data from the Owens Valley Solar Arrays, including EOVSA and OVRO-LWA
  • Investigate energy release and particle acceleration in solar eruptive events
  • Participate in multi-institutional collaborations on joint observation-model studies
  • Contribute to solar radio instrumentation operations and the development of next-generation tools

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in physics, astrophysics, space physics, or a closely related field
  • Experience analyzing solar data
  • Solid understanding of solar physics, plasma physics, and radiative transfer
  • Working knowledge of Python
  • Experience working in Linux and/or macOS environments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with radio interferometry and synthesis imaging
