About the Company

Maven is a proprietary trading organisation formed in 2011, with offices in London, Amsterdam, Hong Kong, New York and Sydney. Its proprietary trading group, Maven Investment Partners, employs a multi-strategy investment approach managed by a global team of specialist portfolio managers and analysts.

Responsibilities

• Construct and manage a fundamentally driven, market-neutral portfolio of equities to deliver consistent and absolute returns
• Focus on a defined universe of stocks or a specific sector
• Generate original investment ideas through deep fundamental understanding and industry awareness
• Actively engage with management teams and form independent views
• Take full responsibility for investment decisions, portfolio construction, and risk management of all lines within the trading book

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience as a Portfolio Manager, or 5+ years as an Investment Analyst or Assistant PM
• A proven, verifiable track record
• A clearly defined, robust, and repeatable investment process
• Strong research acumen
• Ability to construct market-neutral portfolios and manage volatility
• Deep understanding of Asian equity markets and covered stocks
• High attention to detail and ability to perform under high pressure
• Ability to integrate into a collegiate team of Portfolio Managers
