Portfolio Management and Trading Solutions APAC Head

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technology partner for APAC COOs, Heads of Trading, and Portfolio Managers across various strategy groups.
• Own the end-to-end delivery of new capabilities and initiatives across the APAC trading platform.
• Act as the regional escalation point for all trading platform issues, ensuring rapid resolution and stakeholder communication.
• Lead cross-functional technology initiatives, including complex onboardings, system migrations, and EMS/OMS integrations.
• Drive the APAC onboarding agenda for new Portfolio Managers, strategies, and markets in collaboration with global teams.
• Contribute to the global platform strategy by providing an APAC-first perspective on market structure and regulatory constraints.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in institutional financial services technology (buy-side, sell-side, or vendor).
• Deep understanding of electronic trading workflows, including order lifecycle, EMS/OMS architecture, and market microstructure.
• Proven track record of managing and delivering complex, cross-functional technology programmes.
• Strong familiarity with APAC market structure across key equity and derivatives markets (e.g., Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, China, Singapore).
• Excellent relationship management and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior front-office stakeholders.
• Must be based in Hong Kong.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a multi-strategy or multi-manager investment environment.
• Hands-on experience with institutional EMS/OMS platforms such as FlexTrade, Portware, or similar.
• Breadth of asset class exposure including Fixed Income, FX, and derivatives.
• Understanding of systematic and quantitative trading workflows and algorithmic execution.
• Proficiency in Cantonese and/or Mandarin.
