Portfolio Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain ETL pipelines to automate the ingestion, cleaning, and transformation of complex financial data
• Develop components that support the ingestion, analysis, and enrichment of data from 3rd party providers, banks, and APIs
• Improve existing pipelines to increase data throughput and accuracy
• Partner with data analysts to map financial concepts to internal data models in a repeatable and precise fashion
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to design and implement new processes and tooling to improve data quality and operational efficiency
• Recommend extensions and changes to data models and schemas

Requirements

• Computer Science degree or equivalent professional experience
• Professional software engineering experience
• Familiarity with Python, Apache Spark (PySpark), or Java/Spring
• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
• Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases
• Understanding of ETL pipelines and data modeling

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of financial concepts (e.g., stocks, bonds, etc.)
• Passion for solving complex problems at the intersection of finance and technology
