Portfolio Banker

Responsibilities

• Manage, retain, and deepen a portfolio of Commercial Banking business clients within the Emerging Middle Market segment (annual revenue $20M - $100M).
• Utilize knowledge of business, finance, payment solutions, banking, credit, and risk management to recommend solutions that serve clients and ensure portfolio profitability.
• Champion a culture of innovation and a customer-centric mindset.
• Stay updated on industry trends to identify opportunities for strategic partnerships and innovation.
• Protect the firm by following sound risk management protocols, control policies, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Minimum of five years of direct lending or credit support experience with a focus on business relationships.
• Deep understanding of Commercial Banking products and services.
• Demonstrated experience meeting or exceeding sales goals.
• Strong interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to establish credibility with senior business partners.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage priorities under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and formal credit training.
• Proven sales management and business development skills.
• Proficiency in building and maintaining positive, long-term client relationships.
• Strong creative problem-solving abilities and the flexibility to adapt to changing business priorities.
