Porter/Cleaner

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation at Archer Music Hall by performing various porter and cleaning duties
• Keep floors neat, clean, and free of food, trash, and other obstacles throughout the shift
• Clean all spills immediately and use floor signs to caution guests and staff
• Clean and maintain restrooms, including refilling paper products and soap dispensers
• Sweep, mop, and dust all areas of the venue
• Clean and polish hardware such as doors, woodwork, and handrails
• Manage trash and recycling by placing items in proper receptacles and operating the trash compactor
• Respond to guest inquiries and requests in a courteous and polite manner
• Report all required repairs, safety hazards, and fire hazards to a supervisor
• Maintain adequate supplies of cleaning equipment and materials

Requirements

• Three or more years of experience in cleaning services or related work
• High School diploma
• Ability to lift or move up to 50 lbs using proper lifting techniques
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and work on your feet for extended periods
• Exceptional communication skills
• Experience in a high-volume food service environment
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with loud noises
• Availability for early morning and daytime shifts
