Responsibilities

  • Own the overall technical architecture of the FF EAI Brain Developer Open Platform, including API gateways, SDK distribution, and developer portals.
  • Lead the design and engineering of core robotics APIs and multi-language SDKs (Python, Node.js, Go, Java).
  • Oversee developer portal infrastructure, including account systems, API key management, and usage metering.
  • Collaborate with robotics R&D to define abstraction layers between internal software stacks and external APIs.
  • Define and uphold engineering standards, including code reviews, testing requirements, and security protocols.
  • Build, lead, and grow a high-performing platform engineering team.
  • Serve as the technical escalation point for complex developer integration issues.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of software engineering experience
  • 3+ years in a technical leadership role (Tech Lead, Principal, or Manager)
  • Experience building systems for substantial external developer communities
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Robotics, or related field
  • Expertise in RESTful/gRPC APIs, SDK architecture, and developer authentication (OAuth 2.0)
  • Working knowledge of robotics software architectures (ROS/ROS2 or similar)
  • Proven ability to manage distributed systems at scale
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Chinese

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in robotics, AI/ML, IoT, or autonomous systems domains
  • Prior experience at companies known for API excellence (e.g., Stripe, Twilio, AWS)
  • Experience designing application marketplaces or usage-based billing systems
  • Familiarity with ROS2, URDF, or real-time embedded software frameworks
  • Open-source maintainer experience
