Port Worker

Responsibilities

• Operating equipment such as skid loaders, shovels, forklifts, reachstackers, crawler cranes, and other port machinery
• Operating machinery in ship holds, on terminals, and in warehouses
• Performing tram, terrain, and maintenance work
• Contributing ideas for process improvements
• Preventing damage to ships or cranes through efficient and careful work

Requirements

• MBO education level
• VCA or VCH diploma (or willingness to obtain one)
• Knowledge of logistical processes is a plus
• Clear communication skills and stress resistance
• Flexibility and willingness to work in three-shift service (day-night-evening)
• Team player with an eye for safety and environment
• Driver's license B and own transportation
• Ability to work at heights (no fear of heights)
• Good command of the Dutch language
