Port Manager

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe and efficient port operations with a focus on work environment, safety, and the environment
• Responsible for safety routines, risk assessments, incident management, and drills
• Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and authority requirements
• Plan and coordinate vessel calls in collaboration with operations, brokers, and logistics functions
• Collaborate with the Swedish Transport Agency, the Swedish Maritime Administration, and other relevant authorities
• Develop and improve working methods, processes, and resource utilization
• Act as the port's representative to external stakeholders

Requirements

• University degree in a relevant field such as shipping, marine engineering, logistics, or equivalent
• At least five years of experience in shipping or port operations, preferably in a leading or coordinating role
• Experience working at sea or in other maritime activities
• Solid experience with safety systems and risk management, both operationally and strategically
• Experience collaborating with authorities such as the Swedish Transport Agency
• Knowledge of safety and environmental requirements for port and maritime operations
• Experience working with both physical and digital security systems
• Proficiency in IT and communication systems related to security monitoring
• Very good command of Swedish and English, both spoken and written

Preferred Qualifications

• Specific training or certifications within shipping and safety
