About the role
Responsibilities
- Plan labor needs, lifting equipment, and heavy machinery required for operations
- Assign tasks and direct a team of approximately twenty stevedores and heavy machinery operators
- Coordinate operations and proactively resolve difficulties
- Monitor performance indicators using advanced technology
- Ensure application of standard operating procedures, health and safety standards, and environmental norms
Requirements
- Practical, action-oriented, and results-driven mindset
- Interest in working with heavy equipment and machinery
- Commitment to quality of work and customer service
- Availability for on-call work with varied shifts (day, evening, night, weekend)
- Proficiency in French and English (including written English)
Preferred Qualifications
- Leadership experience in non-routine outdoor environments
