Polysomnographer/RCP

Responsibilities

• Conduct sleep studies, including polysomnography, extended EEG, and MSLT/MWT
• Perform sleep staging and technical scoring of sleep events according to AASM standards
• Provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders
• Manage patient airway needs, including oxygen titration, CPAP/BiPAP, ventilator application, and trach capping
• Perform patient assessments, blood gas sampling, and analysis
• Calibrate and troubleshoot diagnostic equipment and implement new test modalities
• Provide patient and family education regarding sleep health and treatments
• Assist with supply inventory and mentor/orient new sleep technicians

Requirements

• Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) certification
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification
• Proficiency in AASM standards
• Strong skills in sleep staging and technical scoring
• Expertise in patient assessment and airway management
