About the role
Responsibilities
- Conduct sleep studies, including polysomnography, extended EEG, and MSLT/MWT
- Perform sleep staging and technical scoring of sleep events according to AASM standards
- Provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders
- Manage patient airway needs, including oxygen titration, CPAP/BiPAP, ventilator application, and trach capping
- Perform patient assessments, blood gas sampling, and analysis
- Calibrate and troubleshoot diagnostic equipment and implement new test modalities
- Provide patient and family education regarding sleep health and treatments
- Assist with supply inventory and mentor/orient new sleep technicians
Requirements
- Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) certification
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification
- Proficiency in AASM standards
- Strong skills in sleep staging and technical scoring
- Expertise in patient assessment and airway management
