About the role
Responsibilities
- Conduct sleep studies, sleep staging, and technical scoring of sleep events according to AASM standards
- Perform patient assessments to determine specific needs and provide comprehensive evaluation of sleep disorders
- Manage application and titration of oxygen, CPAP/BiPAP, and perform blood gas sampling and analysis
- Provide patient and family education regarding sleep health and treatments
- Calibrate and troubleshoot sleep laboratory equipment
- Mentor staff and assist in the orientation and supervision of new sleep technicians
- Collaborate with the ambulatory supervisor, manager, and Chief Medical Director to ensure high-quality diagnostic services
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) certification from the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists
- Strong knowledge of AASM standards and protocols
- Ability to work night shifts (6:30 PM - 7:00 AM)
