Responsibilities

• Research policy issues, ongoing policy debates, and Congressional actions
• Draft one-pagers, issue briefs, and talking points
• Help build and maintain relationships with community leaders, policy experts, and advocacy groups
• Track and draft responses to incoming inquiries and feedback about James’ policy priorities
• Support special projects in collaboration with other campaign departments

Requirements

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Exceptional critical thinking skills
• High attention to detail and organizational skills
• Discretion when dealing with sensitive information
• Ability to meet tight deadlines under pressure

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior campaign or policy experience
