About the role
Responsibilities
- Research policy issues, ongoing policy debates, and Congressional actions
- Draft one-pagers, issue briefs, and talking points
- Help build and maintain relationships with community leaders, policy experts, and advocacy groups to gather diverse perspectives
- Track and draft responses to incoming inquiries and feedback regarding policy priorities
- Support special projects in collaboration with other campaign departments
Requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional critical thinking, attention to detail, and organizational skills
- Discretion when dealing with sensitive information
- Ability to learn quickly, implement feedback, and meet tight deadlines under pressure
- Willingness to be a team player and support the campaign at large
- Prior campaign or policy experience is preferred, but not required
