Policy & Special Projects Associate

Responsibilities

• Research policy issues, ongoing policy debates, and Congressional actions
• Draft one-pagers, issue briefs, and talking points
• Help build and maintain relationships with community leaders, policy experts, and advocacy groups to gather diverse perspectives
• Track and draft responses to incoming inquiries and feedback regarding policy priorities
• Support special projects in collaboration with other campaign departments

Requirements

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Exceptional critical thinking, attention to detail, and organizational skills
• Discretion when dealing with sensitive information
• Ability to learn quickly, implement feedback, and meet tight deadlines under pressure
• Willingness to be a team player and support the campaign at large
• Prior campaign or policy experience is preferred, but not required
