About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide executive protection for University leadership and visiting dignitaries
- Conduct risk assessments and assist with the development of operational plans for protective details
- Travel as necessary, including out-of-state or international assignments, as part of a protective detail or advance team
- Transport personnel to and from on- and off-campus locations
- Provide security for special events and high-value assets
- Assist with investigations related to executive protection in collaboration with the UMPD Criminal Investigations Unit
- Monitor security camera footage and perform research to support investigations and strategic intelligence reports
- Communicate with key stakeholders including the President's Office, Athletic Department, and Government Relations
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent (or Associate degree)
- 5 years of relevant law enforcement experience (4 years if holding an Associate degree)
- 2 years of full-time executive protection experience
- Completion of an accredited police training academy
- Valid MCOLES license and certification (or eligibility to obtain)
- Strong knowledge of state and federal law
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and work in a fast-paced environment
