About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide executive protection for University leadership and visiting dignitaries
  • Conduct risk assessments and assist with the development of operational plans for protective details
  • Travel as necessary, including out-of-state or international assignments, as part of a protective detail or advance team
  • Transport personnel to and from on- and off-campus locations
  • Provide security for special events and high-value assets
  • Assist with investigations related to executive protection in collaboration with the UMPD Criminal Investigations Unit
  • Monitor security camera footage and perform research to support investigations and strategic intelligence reports
  • Communicate with key stakeholders including the President's Office, Athletic Department, and Government Relations

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent (or Associate degree)
  • 5 years of relevant law enforcement experience (4 years if holding an Associate degree)
  • 2 years of full-time executive protection experience
  • Completion of an accredited police training academy
  • Valid MCOLES license and certification (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Strong knowledge of state and federal law
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and work in a fast-paced environment
