Police Officer

Responsibilities

• Provide safety and security services as a certified peace officer during special events at the Wolstein Center and CSU campus
• Independently perform duties using standard law enforcement operating procedures to protect students, faculty, staff, and visitors
• Offer special assistance and service to the general public as needed during high-profile events such as concerts, sporting events, and conventions
• Maintain a visible presence to promote a safe environment and support community policing efforts

Requirements

• Current OPOTA Peace Officer certification
• Currently employed full-time with a qualifying law enforcement agency
• Completion of required Field Training and Continued Professional Training through current full-time employment
• Three years of continuous full-time law enforcement experience
• 21 years of age or older and eligible to carry a firearm
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet University driving eligibility standards

Preferred Qualifications

• Five years of continuous full-time experience in law enforcement
