Police Officer 2

Responsibilities

• Protect lives and property through active foot and mobile patrols across campus and off-campus sites
• Enforce state, federal, and local laws as well as University regulations
• Investigate crimes and accidents, collect evidence, and maintain official records
• Enforce parking and traffic regulations, including issuing citations and directing traffic
• Provide first aid and emergency assistance to faculty, staff, students, and the public
• Coordinate with local and state law enforcement agencies during emergencies
• Perform duties such as escorting first responders and testifying in court as required

Requirements

• One year of law enforcement experience (30 semester hours of accredited college credit may substitute for one year of experience)
• Valid Civil Service 2100-Protective Services Exam (PSE) scores
• POST certification (Peace Officer Standards and Training)
• Valid Class E Driver's License
• Minimum of 18 years of age
• Ability to work a flex shift covering various AM and PM hours
