About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all building maintenance, custodial services, and capital project operations for the Police Department Headquarters.
- Administer the maintenance, repair, and lifecycle management of facility systems, equipment, and infrastructure.
- Analyze architectural drawings, engineering plans, and technical specifications to support facility planning and improvements.
- Develop project scopes, technical specifications, and procurement documentation for maintenance and improvement projects.
- Monitor the facility maintenance operating budget, including forecasting and expenditure management.
- Provide leadership and administrative oversight to maintenance and custodial personnel, including workforce planning and performance management.
- Oversee the operation and integrity of facility monitoring, security, and access control systems.
- Develop and implement long-range facility maintenance and capital improvement plans.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction, or a related field.
- At least five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in public works or facilities maintenance.
- At least four (4) years of experience supervising union employees.
- Valid Driver's License with proof of automobile insurance.
- Ability to pass an extensive background check and driving record check.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional degree in public administration or management.
- Possession of a Basic Facility Managers Course (BFMC) certification.
- Absence of disciplinary action within the last 36 months.
