PMO Manager

Responsibilities

• Establish and lead the Project Management Office (PMO) framework, governance structure, and project control processes
• Implement and maintain project management procedures and standards across the project lifecycle
• Review existing project management methodologies and recommend process improvements for the local Japan environment
• Train, coach, and support PMO members, project team members, and external contractors
• Monitor project performance, schedules, milestones, budgets, and deliverables
• Analyze variances between planned and actual progress and recommend corrective actions
• Proactively identify project risks and opportunities and develop mitigation strategies
• Facilitate project governance activities, including meetings and stakeholder communications
• Ensure timely preparation of accurate project reports and dashboards for senior leadership

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, Law, Construction Management, or related discipline
• Proven experience in Project Management, Contract Management, or Engineering
• Strong understanding of project governance and stakeholder management in complex projects
• Ability to bridge global practices with Japanese business styles
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and coordination skills
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in large-scale infrastructure, industrial, energy, construction, or data center projects
• Experience establishing or managing a PMO
• Familiarity with project controls and contract administration
• Business-level Japanese and English communication skills
