PMHNP Nursing Instructor

Responsibilities

• Teach approximately 15 credit hours per semester across BSN and MSN courses
• Provide clinical supervision for nursing students
• Perform academic advising for students within the program
• Engage in ongoing scholarly activity, research, and professional development
• Participate in university and college committee work and governance
• Support student recruitment and retention efforts
• Uphold the mission, philosophy, and Franciscan values of the Leach College of Nursing

Requirements

• Master’s degree in nursing
• Board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
• Current RN license or eligibility for licensure in the state of Illinois
• Minimum of two years of experience in clinical nursing practice
• Teaching experience in baccalaureate and/or graduate nursing programs
• Willingness to uphold the mission, vision, and traditions of the University of St. Francis

Preferred Qualifications

• Established record of effective teaching, research, and professional service
• Expertise in the use of technology and web-based nursing education
