Plywood Production - Glue Line Shift Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Ensure the production line operates safely in accordance with work safe rules, regulations, and policies
• Recognize and eliminate safety hazards through professional engagement with staff
• Train, develop, and lead employees in safe work practices, including lock out/tag out and Hot Work policies
• Support employee development through coaching, feedback, and performance management
• Oversee day-to-day team activities and work products
• Meet or exceed product quality and shift production goals
• Coordinate product to machines through proper instruction and monitoring
• Work closely with the maintenance department to ensure safe and complete repairs
• Maintain machinery settings and product schedules to ensure optimum production quality
• Complete accurate shift production, safety, and investigation reports

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of production experience as a team leader
• Knowledge of plywood manufacturing processes and equipment
• Proven leadership ability
• Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Effective communication and computer skills
• Availability for shift rotations including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
