About the role
Responsibilities
- Ensure the production line operates safely in accordance with work safe rules, regulations, and policies
- Lead, train, and develop shift crew members in safe work practices and productivity
- Oversee day-to-day team activities and manage performance through coaching and feedback
- Meet or exceed product quality and shift production goals/KPIs
- Coordinate with the maintenance department to ensure safe and complete equipment repairs
- Monitor machinery settings and product schedules to maintain optimum production quality
- Complete accurate shift production, safety, and environmental reports
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of production experience as a team leader
- Knowledge of plywood manufacturing processes and equipment
- Proven leadership and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication and computer skills
- Availability for shift rotations including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
