Plumbing/Fire Protection Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform uncomplicated designs of piping, controls, and equipment selection for Plumbing/Fire Protection systems
• Assist with HVAC designs as necessary
• Assist in Revit/BIM modeling of construction drawings from schematic design to construction administration
• Coordinate with specifications as a member of the design team
• Write draft reports for review by senior engineers
• Review submittals and shop drawings for compliance with contract documents
• Perform job site visits to verify existing conditions and observe construction progress

Requirements

• Bachelor or Master's degree in Engineering required by hire date
• Knowledge of heat transfer, solar energy, and fluid dynamics principles
• Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
• Ability to handle multiple projects

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree from an ABET accredited program
• Related student internship work experience
• EIT or LEED accreditation
• Experience with Revit, Trane Trace, or Trane 3D Plus
