Plumbing Chargehand

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of plumbers and helpers at site locations.
• Allocate work assignments and manage manpower to meet project schedules.
• Interpret plumbing drawings, layouts, specifications, and isometric sketches.
• Oversee the installation of piping systems, sanitary fixtures, drainage, and water supply lines.
• Monitor work quality to ensure compliance with project specifications and HSE requirements.
• Conduct daily toolbox talks and ensure strict adherence to safety procedures and PPE usage.
• Inspect materials and tools, reporting any shortages or defects to the supervisor.
• Track daily progress, manpower attendance, and crew productivity.
• Assist in planning work sequences and resolving technical installation issues.
• Ensure proper testing, flushing, and commissioning activities are completed.
• Train and guide junior plumbers on proper installation techniques and safe practices.

Requirements

• Diploma, ITI, or Trade Certificate in Plumbing.
• 4-6 years of plumbing experience, including at least 2 years in a Chargehand or Team Leader role.
• Proven experience in oil & gas, industrial, construction, or infrastructure projects.
• Ability to read and understand plumbing drawings and isometric sketches.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing installation methods, materials, and testing procedures.
• Familiarity with HSE requirements and safe work practices.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team coordination skills.
• Willingness to work on-site at ADNOC project locations in Abu Dhabi and work flexible shifts.
