Plumber, Maintenance

Responsibilities

• Provide plumbing and liquid fuels maintenance for facilities and infrastructure at Creech Air Force Base.
• Assemble, install, troubleshoot, and repair pipes, fittings, and fixtures for water and drainage systems.
• Install and repair plumbing fixtures including sinks, commodes, water heaters, and garbage disposals.
• Maintain water distribution, waste water, and petroleum, oils, and lubricants (POL) systems.
• Inspect, test, and maintain wet, dry pipe, and deluge fire suppression systems.
• Read and decipher plumbing maps and blueprints to locate valves, manholes, and hydrants.
• Respond to service calls promptly and participate in Quality Control and Safety Programs.
• Adhere to Lockout/Tag Out and Fall Protection protocols.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of plumbing experience acquired through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent.
• Valid Nevada driver’s license.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Government Security Clearance.
• Physical ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
• Ability to work in various environments, including cramped areas, heights, and extreme weather conditions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• Prior experience with liquid fuels or petroleum system maintenance.
