About the role

Responsibilities

  • Repair and maintain support equipment for compressed air, water, sewage, and gas systems
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and diagnose all aspects of plumbing systems
  • Install standard waste, water, and compressed air systems based on drawings or instructions
  • Perform inspections, backflow testing, and preventive maintenance
  • Install and repair domestic and laboratory plumbing fixtures, including drainage lines and faucets
  • Requisition necessary job parts and supplies
  • Document all work by completing electronic work orders
  • Maintain a clean and safe shop area

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Graduation from a trade school or apprenticeship program as a journeyman plumber
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a journeyman level plumber
  • Valid PA driver's license
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds and work in confined spaces
  • Ability to work various shifts, overtime, and be available for call-out work
  • Ability to pass a physical exam for respirator clearance and a fitness for duty assessment

  • Experience working in a large institutional setting such as a college, university, or hospital
