Plumber First Class

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot building piping and drainage systems, including water supply, gas lines, and sanitary lines.
• Install and repair plumbing fixtures such as showers, toilets, sinks, urinals, and laboratory equipment.
• Read and interpret complex blueprints, sketches, schematics, and piping diagrams.
• Perform brazing, silver and lead soldering, and pipefitting as required.
• Utilize hand and power tools, measuring/diagnostic/testing meters, and other specialized equipment.
• Coordinate repairs with other trades and assist with facility setups or special functions as needed.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Current plumbing trade licensure and backflow prevention license.
• Valid driver's license.
• Current ANSI/OSHA compliant training card for operating aerial lifts, bucket trucks, or forklifts.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and work in enclosed spaces.
• Physical ability to climb ladders, bend, reach, and crawl.
• Must possess and maintain personal hand tools required for the trade.
• Ability to follow verbal and written directions in English and interact professionally with students, faculty, and staff.

Preferred Qualifications

• Current OSHA 10 certification or higher.
• Current backflow certification.
• Experience operating aerial/scissor lifts, bucket trucks, and forklifts.
