Plumber and General Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repairs on building elements including walls, ceilings, floors, doors, and windows
• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to uphold facility standards
• Address plumbing issues such as clearing drains, repairing leaks, and replacing taps
• Execute basic electrical tasks including replacing bulbs, fuses, and plug points
• Supervise and liaise with third-party contractors during site visits and repairs
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work records, and facility tool inventories
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance incidents and assist with office layout changes

Requirements

• Red seal trade tested Plumber
• 1–2 years of experience in general building maintenance roles
• Computer literacy and strong communication skills in English and Afrikaans
• Valid driver's licence
• Availability for shift work (Monday to Friday) and willingness to work overtime with notice
• Possession of a personal mobile phone

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with OSHACT protocols
• General building work training
• Ability to work independently with a strong work ethic
