Plumber

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, and repair pipes, fittings, and fixtures for heating, water, and drainage systems.
• Inspect structures to identify obstructions and mark positions for pipe connections and passage holes.
• Cut openings in walls and floors using hand and power tools to accommodate plumbing components.
• Install valves and pipes made of various metals (iron, steel, brass, lead) and nonmetals (glass, clay, plastic).
• Join pipes using screws, bolts, fittings, solder, plastic solvent, and caulks.
• Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot equipment to prevent malfunctions.
• Read and interpret blueprints, manuals, and construction drawings to determine work sequences.
• Maintain detailed reports of work completed at various job sites.
• Prepare estimates for man-hours and materials needed for job completion.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3-5+ years of professional plumbing experience in residential or commercial maintenance, installation, and repair.
• Ability to obtain or hold a Journeyman License.
• Ability to obtain or hold an active government-issued clearance.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and understanding local plumbing codes (IBC/IPC).
• Valid Real ID Driver's License.
• Physical ability to lift 50-75 lbs, work in confined spaces, and navigate ladders.
