About the role

Responsibilities

  • Architect scalable PLM solutions that support unified product development processes, balancing vendor capabilities with custom extensions
  • Define implementation approaches accounting for organizational maturity, data readiness, and development practices
  • Collaborate with engineering, IT, manufacturing, and vendors to define future-state workflows, data models, and integration requirements
  • Serve as a key liaison between engineering and IT to ensure alignment on system architecture, integrations, and data governance
  • Lead requirements-gathering processes to translate engineering pain points into functional and technical specifications
  • Support the evaluation and selection of PLM vendor solutions, including capability assessments and technical fit analysis
  • Drive solution design for Engineering BOM management, configuration control, design release, and change management workflows
  • Contribute to PLM rollout planning and partner with engineering teams to drive system adoption

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field
  • 10+ years of experience in design engineering, systems engineering, or equivalent roles within the semiconductor or high-tech industry
  • Hands-on experience leading or participating in PLM implementations with platforms such as Siemens Teamcenter, PTC Windchill, or Dassault ENOVIA
  • Strong understanding of semiconductor product development processes and cross-functional dependencies
  • Proven ability to gather detailed requirements from diverse engineering and business stakeholders
  • Experience driving complex enterprise-level projects involving workflow definition and system integrations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of product data models, multi-domain BOMs, and change control processes (ECN/ECR)
  • Experience in tool selection, RFP creation, vendor evaluations, or technology roadmap development
  • Experience integrating EDA/CAD tools (e.g., Cadence, Mentor, Keysight, Altium) with PLM systems
  • Familiarity with Agile or hybrid project methodologies
  • Exposure to quality or regulatory frameworks such as ISO 9001 or IATF 16949
