PLC Technician

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot production equipment problems to determine root causes, including programming, hardware, and equipment issues
• Execute programming modifications for PLCs, HMIs, robot controls, and vision systems to resolve downtime and improve productivity
• Maintain daily records of all programming changes for departmental documentation
• Review non-standard programming modifications with the Controls Engineer to ensure compliance with department standards
• Provide recommendations to improve machine productivity, safety, and efficiency
• Conduct preventive maintenance and repair breakdowns on electromechanical equipment

Requirements

• Associate degree, Trade School, or Tech School in automation or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
• 3-4+ years of relevant experience
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using SAP
