PLC Specialist

Responsibilities

• Program and troubleshoot automated robotic and vision systems using Allen-Bradley PLCs
• Modify and optimize existing PLC programs using IEC 61131-3 languages, specifically Ladder Diagram
• Oversee the ramp-up of manufacturing lines, including robotics, electromechanical systems, and motion control
• Implement high-speed motion control using Keyence/Cognex vision systems and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
• Design and implement sophisticated in-house control architectures integrating sensors, actuators, and multiple PLCs
• Work on cycle-time reduction to solve bottlenecks and optimize manufacturing investments
• Create process standards to allow for the duplication of testing systems across different global sites
• Ensure strict adherence to "lock out, tag out" procedures within 480 VAC and 24 VDC system areas

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical, Mechatronic, or a related Engineering discipline
• 4+ years of PLC programming experience in a high-speed industrial environment
• Proficiency with Allen-Bradley PLCs
• Experience with robotic systems such as Fanuc, ABB, or Kuka

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
• Hands-on experience with Vision Systems (Keyence or Cognex)
