PLC Programmer/Automation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain PLC applications using the CODESYS V3.x platform
• Design software architecture using FB, FBD, ST, LD, and SFC
• Create reusable and modular CODESYS libraries and custom function blocks
• Implement OOP concepts including interfaces, inheritance, and encapsulation
• Configure task scheduling, real-time execution, I/O mapping, and device configuration
• Debug systems using monitoring, breakpoints, and trace tools
• Manage version control and integrate systems via APIs and industrial protocols
• Support commissioning and troubleshooting processes

Requirements

• Deep expertise in CODESYS V3.x (Function Blocks, Library management, GVL, and SoftPLC environments)
• Proficiency in IEC 61131-3 programming and state machine design
• Experience with industrial protocols: Modbus RTU/TCP, CAN Bus/CANopen, OPC UA, and MQTT
• Strong knowledge of Linux-based systems and TCP/IP networking
• Experience with REST APIs (HTTP/HTTPS, JSON/XML) and socket communication
• Ability to apply clean, modular coding practices and maintain thorough documentation

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in marine or yacht automation
• Knowledge of industrial cybersecurity
• Experience with Docker and IoT/edge devices
• Proficiency in real-time control and PID tuning
