Play Content Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead the content calendar and publishing roadmap for Play content across Magic.gg and supporting channels
• Develop and publish content highlighting players, communities, events, and play experiences
• Manage editorial content including event guides, decklists, feature stories, and tournament coverage
• Produce and edit short-form video and social content using event and livestream assets
• Partner with event and tournament operations to support content before, during, and after live events
• Manage freelance writers and external contributors
• Use audience insights and performance metrics to improve content impact

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in content management, editorial, journalism, or digital content production
• Strong understanding of Magic: The Gathering and its player community
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally 8–10 times per year
• Outstanding writing, editing, and storytelling skills
• Experience producing written, visual, or video content for digital audiences
• Experience managing multiple projects and tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with content management systems and digital publishing tools
• Experience working with freelancers, agencies, or external vendors

Preferred Qualifications
