Platform Support Engineer

Responsibilities

• Drive global incident management by coordinating, troubleshooting, and resolving live production issues across the quantitative trading platform.
• Serve as the first point of contact for production issues, support requests, and system alerts.
• Triage and investigate incidents in real time, escalating to software development teams when necessary.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless deployment of new code into production.
• Integrate AI into day-to-day workflows to automate processes, enhance monitoring, and drive operational efficiency.
• Build additional tools to strengthen the proprietary trading environment and maintain peak performance.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in financial services supporting trading and post-trade systems.
• Experience supporting applications in a Linux environment.
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, Shell, or Perl.
• Experience managing large-scale deployments and environments.
• Experience supporting the FIX protocol.
• Understanding of monitoring and performance management.
• Strong ownership experience and a track record of delivering results.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience performing FIX certification and onboarding.
• Experience with NFS and GPFS file systems.
• Knowledge of storage devices.
• Experience with application monitoring systems such as ITRS Geneos.
• Experience with Control-M or other job scheduling tools.
• Knowledge of q and kdb+.
• Experience with AWS.
