Platform Site Reliability Engineer

Responsibilities

• Deploy and manage Kubernetes clusters at scale across bare metal and partner infrastructure
• Develop Kubernetes manifests and operators for networking, storage, security, and identity
• Optimize Linux system configurations including kernel, drivers, and filesystems
• Build automation scripts and infrastructure as code to support platform lifecycle
• Apply ITSM frameworks including Incident, Major Incident, and Change Management
• Maintain and enhance the observability stack using Prometheus and Grafana
• Operate and support services in 24x7 production environments including on-call rotation
• Contribute to incident postmortems and root cause analysis
• Mentor junior engineers and act as an operational requirements consultant

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in globally scaled, performance-intensive 24/7 SRE environments
• 3+ years of experience deploying and optimizing Kubernetes
• Expert-level Linux administration, specifically Ubuntu
• Proficiency in system tuning, disk I/O optimization, and hardware performance tweaks
• Strong networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, switching)
• Strong experience with infrastructure scripting and automation (Bash, Python, Ansible)
• Deep understanding of observability tools like Prometheus and Grafana
• Strong grasp of ITSM and service operation best practices

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor or Masters degree in Computer Science or Engineering
• LPIC Certifications
• ITIL Foundation level qualification
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
• Knowledge of running AI workloads via orchestration platforms
