Platform Research & Innovation Technical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Turn advanced theoretical research and innovation concepts into functional, physical prototypes
• Act as the core mechanical design lead for early-stage, front-end electrification projects
• Coordinate and execute globally split engineering work packages between local hubs and global competence centers
• Run early-stage thermal and mechanical pre-simulations to ensure product survivability
• Work closely with the local Prototype Shop to rapidly build and test new designs

Requirements

• Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Design, or a related high-tech field
• Expertise in Catia CAD
• Strong mechanical design background
• Fluency in English with the ability to present technical concepts to multinational networks
• Ability to work with abstract, "blank-canvas" physics and mechanical problems
